Energy efficiency in the classroom

Students will first learn about the different ways classrooms use energy and why its important to use that energy wisely. Then, they’ll use this checklist of energy-saving actions to complete every day in the classroom, such as turning lights off when no one’s in the classroom or unplugging electronics that aren’t being used. This will encourage students to be mindful of their energy use and develop energy-saving habits.

We suggest printing and laminating the checklist and hanging it somewhere in your classroom so you and your students can refer to it regularly. Don’t have access to a laminator? Send us an email at hello@generation-e.ca and we can send you a printed copy!
