STRENGTHENING ENERGY LEARNING WITH HELPFUL CANADIAN RESOURCES

Published on: September 14, 2026

Every light switch, thermostat setting, and appliance choice is part of a bigger system — one that connects individual habits to how entire communities use energy. When students learn to think critically about energy use, they build skills that extend well beyond the classroom: analyzing data, evaluating tradeoffs, and seeing how small actions add up to larger impact. Teachers play a key role in making those connections real, and quality resources can make that work easier.

A RESOURCE THAT CAN EXTEND CLASSROOM LEARNING

If your class is exploring energy through our School Energy Review or Energy-Efficient Design Challenge, GreenLearning's Energy Revealed Program may offer a helpful way to extend that work. Students can continue exploring questions about electricity use, energy demand, and waste reduction while building on ideas introduced through hands-on investigation. For teachers, it can also provide another option for supporting curriculum outcomes related to science, numeracy, and sustainability.

ABOUT GREENLEARNING'S ENERGY REVEALED

Energy Revealed is a Canadian program offering activities related to energy use, conservation, and energy efficiency for Grades 3 to 12. It includes both a core program and an Energy Revealed Challenge, giving students multiple entry points for exploring how energy systems work and why efficient use matters. Activities can support classroom investigations, help students analyze and interpret data, and connect everyday choices to larger energy systems.
