Back-to-school season often comes with long supply lists and a push to buy new. But preparing for the school year doesn't have to mean starting from scratch. It can be an opportunity to make thoughtful choices that reduce waste, save energy, and help students think differently about consumption.
Many everyday purchases carry an energy story. Energy is used to extract materials, manufacture products, package them, and transport them to stores. Choosing what to reuse, what to repair, and what to buy can help reduce that demand.
START WITH WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
